Congratulations! You're having a baby!

And now is the time to start planning your nursery :-)

A nursery is a place where baby will spend time sleeping, playing, exploring and growing, and thus needs to be adaptable to all baby's needs.

Nursery furniture is a fundamental part of your baby room and long term versatility should be considered. 

Choose a cot that can either change into a junior bed or a day bed, like our French Sleigh cot, or one that you know will be used again for baby number 2 - and 3 ;-) 

The colour and style of your nursery furniture should compliment the style of the rest of your home. If you have a very modern home, opt for more modern looking nursery furniture. If your home is more classic then your nursery furniture should have a more classic feel. But this is simply a guide line - it is not cast in stone :-)

The must haves are a cot, a change table or compactum and a shelf unit to store baby's nick-nacks, books and toys. 

A feeding chair is essential, as it not only offers a comfortable place where baby can be fed day and night, but it is also great for those times when baby needs a quiet place to be soothed and lulled to sleep. Our Rocker glider is a winner with it's 3 reclining positions and gliding ottoman!

Once you have decided on the style of your nursery furniture, assess where in the room you want to place the different items. The layout of your nursery is an important consideration before purchasing your nursery furniture.
