What a phenomenal year 2012 is proving to
be! Here I am about to embark on one of the single most momentous, magical,
life changing experiences anyone could ever imagine... Yes, you guessed it,
Motherhood.
Not too long from now, my husband and I
will be welcoming a little girl into the world and while I hastily (and
nervously) prepare for her imminent arrival, I’m also on another adventure,
joining the magical world of Rock A Bye Nursery.
I have worked
in the corporate industry for the better half of 10 years, making it my goal to achieve the
most I can of every position and task sent my way! Working hard to climb the
corporate ladder while learning and experiencing so many different trades,
products and markets, which equipped me to read and understand what the client
needs and expects from a product and/or service.
After trying for just over 2 years to
conceive a child, our little miracle showed up on a home pregnancy test, and within seconds, my
whole world changed.
My values and views on life and love intertwined with a
new found fierce, almost animal instinct, of protecting my baby and creating
the best environment for her and my family.
Suddenly, everything that had ever
happened before the two pink lines showed up on that test seemed trivial
compared to what was coming and the amazing journey that lay ahead. It was
around this time that I decided, my life ambition, was no longer to run along
with the rat race, merrily losing myself in someone else’s dreams, but rather
to create my own dream and help others achieve theirs too.
Thus, as fate would have it, this dream of
being my own boss and putting my ambition, abilities and faith into a business
and brand that I believed in, was just around the corner.
